Package Travel Directive: how to make fit for today’s travel?

On April 28, eu travel tech and ECTAA hosted a panel debate on the Package Travel Directive.  The event kicked-off with a key-note speech by Professor Ana Branca Soeiro de Carvalho, an academic with expertise on the PTD. An engaging panel discussion ensued with Nils Behrndt, European Commission; Steven Berger, BEUC; Jean-Philippe Monod, Expedia Group; Franck Oostdam, Chairman and Director of the Dutch association of travel agents and tour operators; and Mark de Vriendt, EGFAAT ensued. The discussions were lively and substantive, touching upon issues of relevance for eu travel tech and ECTAA such as prepayments, B2B refunds and insolvency protection.
